Sorry this one is late. I have a pretty good excuse, but you’ll have to read tomorrow’s post to see what it is.

I have to admit, this one is a bit simpler than most. But, I had to think of a task that I could do with all the normal stuff of life that was going on Saturday. You see, I spent the whole day Saturday building cabinets in the garage. No big deal, just 16 feet of cabinets along one wall. And I’m not talking about a kit or anything simple like that. The whole thing is build out of 2x4s and plywood. And while it was definitely uncomfortable working in the heat all day, hauling wood and putting things together, it didn’t really go with the spirit of my challenge.

So I had to think of something that I could do at night once it was to dark to work on the cabinets any longer – and that wasn’t too physically taxing because I was pretty exhausted. So I organized a guy’s night with some of my friends from church.

I love hanging out with the guys, but I hate to be the one that organizes it. So, Saturday night I started texting to find out when the people with the most complicated schedules would be available. Got the date down and started texting everyone else. And we got it all set up and I’m looking forward to it. And yes I know that this one was pretty simple, but trust me… I was plenty uncomfortable all day on Saturday!

Takeaway:

It was not hard at all to organize. It was just deciding to do it – and then actually doing it. It is one of the many things that I wish that I did more often, but never get around to doing. I am learning that I need to start getting around to doing all of these things or they will never happen.
