So, today I had a plan for what I was going to do. It was uncomfortable, I had an angle for the blog post to go with it, it was going to be great. But it didn’t work out. So, at 9:30 tonight I had to dig through my future tasks for one that could be pulled off quickly. And what I came up with was… a cold shower. And boy did it suck.
All I have to say is that I am glad that the drought is pretty much over, because I did waste a bit of water working up the courage to step into the freezing cold water. I did finally make it all the way into the shower and I washed myself as quickly as possible. I am still mostly shivering as I write this, but I did it. And it’s over.
Takeaway:
I tried to stay out of the water at first. I wasn’t really doing my task – and I couldn’t really wash myself. I couldn’t go half way. I had to get all the way into the freezing water for it to really be a shower. It sucked, but it had to be done. Just like lots of things in life.

Hahaha,… aw man… haven’t checked that one off my list yet… but the benefits are undesputed.
If you like cold water it might not be so bad. I hate it (see day 2) so this just sucked. Might not be as bad for you.
You’re a champ, Kurt! I know, more than anyone, how much you can’t stand coldness and how you try to avoid it at all costs. I was proud that you got all the way in and did this with integrity!
Thanks, sweets! And thanks for calling me out on it. I needed the extra push!
